We love the nearby amenities. Our previous home was on the outskirts of KC – we love being much closer to things here like The Shops, Corinth, parks, etc. PV is an ideal midpoint between Southern JOCO and Downtown KC. From all the dog walkers, friendly neighbors, and amazing big trees (even in the recent storm!), it just makes for a wonderful community.
Our house had “good bones” to begin with so much of the changes we’ve made have been the “fun” kind. New hardwood floors, paint throughout, new appliances, and of course, landscaping front and back. Not to mention the addition of many, many wall outlets!
During COVID, we also did some updating in the basement to provide better living space while trying to keep the 1950s vibe. We love the original bar down there!
This is the first house we have selected together. While we both lived in Prairie Village at earlier points in our lives, this is our first adventure here as a couple. I’ve been a gardener for a while, but since retiring, Mark has gotten much more involved. It has led to some beautiful flower beds and additions to our outdoor spaces.
