Homeowners Mic and Missy Johnson moved to Prairie Village in September 2005, and in their own words …
We immediately fell in love with our charming cape cod home with the cozy front porch (where you will see us often – especially when we are hosting friends at our infamous #FrontPorchFridays gatherings), all the beautiful mature trees, and the friendly, walkable community that is Prairie Village.
We love being so close to the Prairie Village Shops and hearing the bustling activity (and often music at French Market) as we sit on our back deck. All that activity gives the area a friendly energy.
We look forward to the Prairie Village Art Fair each year, and the sense of community that comes together at the event is just awesome. Wouldn’t we all love to see the PV Shops do a Fall event every year to bring people together, too?
We’ve made many improvements to our home over the years! Most recently we completely remodeled our kitchen, which has really changed the feel of that area and inside our home. And, it’s made Missy – who is practically an executive chef – a very happy woman!
We truly appreciate being chosen as Home of the Month because we definitely take a lot of pride in making our house a home.
We love being a part of the community. Prairie Village is just a great place to live…always has been…always will be.
